LEGENDS DIVISION
The BASS LAKE YOSEMITE TRIATHLON is one of the most storied events in the history of the sport. The first ever National Championships was held at Bass Lake in 1983. From that first event the new sport of triathlon took off and now boasts a spot in the Olympics. Tri-Fed, now USAT, was struggling for legitimacy when it sanctioned Bass Lake as the National Championship. Now USAT has over 4000 sanctioned events and over 200,000 members. What a difference 30 years makes.
Were you a participant at the USTS/Tri-Fed National Championships in 1983 or 1984? If so, the Bass Lake Classic Triathlon wants you back!
If your name appears in the 1983 or 1984 results posted on the RESULTS page then you are entitled to a discount entry fee. Simply indicate the "LEGENDS" category in the distance in which yo wish to participate at Active.com or on the downloadable entry. The Legends discount applies to either the Sprint or Olympic distance.
If you finished in the top 10 in 1983 or 1984 we want to comp your entry to the BASS LAKE YOSEMITE TRIATHLON! Please email the race director for your comp entry.

USA TRIATHLON & the USAT ONE DAY FEE
USA TRIATHLON (USAT) is the national governing body of the sport of triathlon. They provide the insurance for the event. We therefore have to abide by their registration procedures and competitive rules.
Please go to www.usatriathlon.org for more information about becoming an annual member of USA Triathlon.
If you are annual member of USA Triathlon then you must bring your annual membership card and photo ID to registration. We cannot make exceptions to this rule. Please do not ask us to do so.
If you are not an annual member, USAT charges a $15 one day insurance fee and requires you to sign a waiver. This fee is paid as part of your registration process and goes directly to USAT. If you signed up via active.com then you will have signed the waiver online. If you mailed the entry in then you will need to sign a waiver at registration.
